OCONUS service status is a core requirement

The sweepstakes is limited to U.S. military personnel and attached civilians who are authorised by the Exchange or NEXCOM to use the military exchange system. Entrants must be at least eighteen, hold a valid driver’s licence and be stationed, deployed or on temporary duty outside the continental United States for at least thirty days during the promotion period.

This means U.S. nationality or military affiliation alone is not enough. The potential winner must prove the required status. Employees and families of Military AutoSource, the Exchange, NEXCOM, Ships Stores and associated entities are excluded under the official rules.

One entry, with no vehicle purchase required

An eligible person may submit a single entry at militaryautosource.com/America from a computer or phone, or complete the official form with a Military AutoSource sales representative at an OCONUS on-base location. The form asks for full name, daytime telephone number and email.

No purchase is necessary, and buying a vehicle does not increase the odds. Duplicate entries or alternative submission methods are not valid. Because only one record is allowed, entrants should check the phone country code and email spelling before sending the form.

The cash is paid once and the tax burden stays with the winner

The advertised amount is $13,000, described as the equivalent of $250 per week for fifty-two weeks. The rules explicitly state that it is paid as one lump sum rather than weekly instalments. Federal, state or other applicable taxes are the winner’s responsibility, and an IRS Form 1099 may be issued.

A random drawing is scheduled for October 1. Military AutoSource plans to contact the selected entrant within seven days and may choose an alternate if it cannot locate that person within ten days of attempted notice. Proof of eligibility must be supplied before the prize is confirmed.
